anxiety explained
Anxiety – what is it?
A debilitating mood disorder that is triggered by an often unidentifiable stimulus which then results in uneasiness, apprehension and fear. Panic attacks, insomnia, constant worrying are the normal accompanying symptoms.Other issues that commonly develop are a reliance on drugs or alcohol to cope, making relationships and family matters escalate from challenging to virtually impossible, accompanying depression is also common.
“Anxiety was behind my addictions. I was always told I could not be fixed; it was just the way I was born. Palladium taught me that was a load of rot”.
Cynthia Reynolds, March 2011
Why aren’t traditional methods fixing anxiety?
Traditional therapies focus on changing the symptoms not the cause. Psychotherapy spends a lot of therapy time searching for individual triggers and the history of these triggers. Psychoanalysis spreads its talk therapy out, often over a number of years and relies often on medication to help manage the symptoms; again not the cause and also not a cure.
“Twelve years since my accident. Twelve years with the agony of anxiety. 28 days to fix it. I still can’t believe it was this simple”.
Tulli Marta, April 2011
Why Palladium Private does work for Anxiety
Clients suffering from anxiety make up the second largest group attending these programs. Palladium Private’s approach to anxiety disorders is completely different to traditional methods that are low on results. Our solution has three major components:
- We only use Fountainhead Method ™, trained life coaches. “The Fountainhead Method™ is the number one system for understanding stress and its application to health in the world today” [1]
- It is supported by Journey Therapy. Developed originally by American author Brandon bays similar to time line therapy but different in that the focuses is not only to identify your patterns of behavior and its origin-but to change the pattern then and there. “Where was this when I was studying psychology at University”[2]
- It is underpinned by Mindfulness training which has existed for millennia but has only been explained scientifically the last twenty years. “One has to try to develop one’s inner feelings, which can be done simply by training one’s mind.” [3]
“Depression-anxiety, anxiety depression. It did not understand the link. NOW I understand the lesson. The world should know about these programs. Thanks Greg, you saved my life”.
Gordon Hyall, Nov 2009
Anxiety is the flip side of the beliefs behind depression. The anxiety sufferer believes they can create outcomes by surveillance and control. They may develop rituals, constant lists, and when they feel out of control, panic attacks or seemingly irrational fears may result. Some of the “top” anxiety treatments in the world teach how to “take control” as the core of the solution, when actually this is the core of the problem. Of course when you are in a similar situation again, the same beliefs will be activated again and the same emotional responses triggered. The Fountainhead Method™ teaches you simple ways to halt, alter and even reverse the pattern. Your emotions are teaching you what you need to learn. The Fountainhead Method™ teaches you what to do with this new knowledge in ways that makes your anxiety disappear.
“I have suffered from anxiety for my entire life. I developed complex coping mechanisms including reliance on pills that nearly destroyed my physical health. After two months in Palladium, I understand my anxiety for the first time. The money and time I wasted with doctors and psychologists! My anxiety is already reduced by about 80% and I no longer need my pills to cope. If you had asked me was this result possible 2 months ago? There is no way I would have believed you. Thank you so much”.
Tom Skellet, Feb 2011.
What the experts say
The Anti Depression Association of Australia (ADAA); recently interviewed author Michelle Mark who confirms this approach to treatment for anxiety: “When you are experiencing anxiety, or need help with anxiety, the real work needed to reduce it for the long term is not done by changing how you feel. This is a temporary solution at best. The real work is done by changing the root cause of that emotional response. Those who suffer from anxiety must look beyond the effects, and go back to the cause. The Fountainhead Method™ shows you how to do this”.
“I was made to go to this program completely against my will. My weight was down to 38kg (anorexia) and my anxiety completely medicated. Two months later, no anxiety and the weight going back on weekly. Thanks mum, I am glad you were a bitch. Thanks Michelle-you were right”.

Length of Stay-recommendation
Palladium Private Programs of 28 days are normally sufficient for the education of most anxiety disorders. For Chronic anxiety, we recommend the two month program.
